Mystery of the Ionosphere’s “Gyro Line” Solved

EOS wrote a popular science article about a recent paper that I co-wrote.  The story is titled relatively sensational: Mystery of the Ionosphere’s “Gyro Line” Solved. But I guess this does describe the work that was done quite accurately. Here's another quote from the article:

A new study provides an updated hypothesis to describe a unique radar signature from plasma waves high above Earth, correcting errors that had stood for decades.

As you might have heard on the news, the whole Caribbean region is now dealing with Hurricane Irma and it's aftermath. I hope for the best for my friends and colleagues affected by what is by some news outlets called the strongest hurricane ever measured.
