Weekend hiking photos

This weekend we went hiking in the Skittetinden (Dirty Mountain) area in Kattfjord valley in Kvaløya. This area has numerous fantastic hiking opportunities. In the winter Skittetinden is a popular randoneering and telemark skiing location, but it is beautiful also in the summer. The area has lots of kettle lakes, waterfalls, and plenty of snow, and occasionally some sunshine. The lake at highest elevation next to Skittetinden was still covered with ice!

Up on the mountain, there is still plenty of snow, even though it is already mid-July.
